ABOUT THE MATERIAL
Lambswool comes from the lamb’s first shearing, and it’s a sustainable and biodegradable material. It is fine and soft, and requires minimal processing. As with every wool type, lambswool is environmentally friendly. It’s a biodegradable material as it naturally decomposes in soil, releasing precious nutrients.
PRODUCT CARE
Hand washing is recommended for lambswool to maintain its softness and prevent pilling. The wool fibers in lambswool have delicate cuticle cells that protect the outer layer, and machine washing can disrupt these fibers, leading to a loss of softness. By hand washing, you can ensure that your knitted beanie hat remains soft and in good condition.
Soak the knitted beanie hat in a basin of lukewarm water and wool wash. Try not to use regular laundry detergent; instead, use a wash specially formulated for wool items.
Squeeze the soap through the garment, being careful not to wring or stretch the beanie hat. Rinse it, and remove excess water, again being careful not to wring or stretch.
Reshape the knitted beanie hat and lay flat to dry.
